Overview
Living in houses built on the sea sounds like an idea borrowed from science-fiction stories, but the ultramodern metropolis of Dubai never ceases to impress the world with its myriad marvels and thanks to the brilliant work of the Kleindienst Group, one of the prominent European real estate developers in the UAE, sea houses are now real and have been developed flawlessly. The Floating Seahorse Villas are part of The World Islands development nestled just off the coast of Dubai. Designed by the Heart of Europe construction company, these floating villas were built outside the water first and then placed on the sea using cranes. When set down, the structures were anchored to their underwater foundation to remain fixed in their positions. The Floating Seahorse Villas feature three distinct levels; an underwater level, a sea level and a deck level, all fully furnished and each offering a unique spectacle to the sea and the surrounding environment. A beautiful staircase made of wood and glass connects the floors.
In order to create a long-lasting, yet efficient structure, marine-grade concrete is implemented in the construction of the underwater level while the upper levels are light-wight aluminum-made with gleaming yacht-like finishes.
